"Dr. Mohammad Shamssadin"

Dear Readers,

I am an ordinary person who live in the US, who seek to update myself on what goes on my country mostly through the web. In time I have realized how certain regions like Ethiopia could be monopolized by few outlets that are increasingly making readers victims of their sporadic ideas. Wicked people and groups have also figured it out that they can target the mostly younger generation who spend more time on the computer than previous generations, and whose argument entirely base itself from the fragments gathered in the web could be grained and shaped to their ideologies. There is nothing that couldn’t be rewritten on the web, without taking any accountability; unless committed citizens make it up their duty to defend their stories. It’s hard to tackle such enemies of the humanity, unless a nation establishes its own internet-soldiers, and defend its interests in various subjects as most developed countries do. Otherwise, the cyber-space is like an open house without an owner, and could be subjected to any kind of immoral activities that harm a national interest.

A continued regular post on a website that concerns Ethiopia always worries me; this article arises from reading articles on a website called American chronicle, mostly written by a name called Mohammed Shamssadin; who is seemingly a Greek professor teaching in an Egyptian College. The guy doesn’t seem to have anything else except preparing for his next attack on the statehood and sovereignty of Ethiopia, and the Semitic language speakers of the region. It’s been a while since he pulled out any potential friction fault, by presenting himself as a philosopher, and a liberator historian.

The above quotation was taken from one of his regular writings on the American Chronicle website, the so called Professor Mohammed Shamsaddin. This guy always write brazen, war-longing messages, full of poisonous phrases, he aims on disintegrating Ethiopia to a ruined state, by inflaming the ethnic/language, religious existences in the country; denying and rewriting our history in hatred-full ways, ridiculing anything positive and appreciative aspects of our culture and values. His regularly scheduled bombardments are meant in time to create certain distrust and social anxieties, and havoc. It seems various individuals or groups use this pen-name for their groups or regime agendas against Ethiopia. Whatever and whoever the real author of those poisonous articles are, only one thing is true, and that is the website trajects a new canon by sworn enemies of Ethiopia who work hard for something what we have been trying to defend and fight for generations; the statehood of Ethiopia and Ethiopianism. The main strategic route his pen has chosen is criminalizing the Semitic language speaking people of Ethiopia. The professor, who is supposed to be a Greek origin, claims to be converted recently to Islam, to justify his attack and “get closer” to Muslims of the Horn of Africa. People like him or whoever the author have no consciousness, nor humanity. Their only ambition is to gather as much as money from the groups that sponsor them and can swim out from the bloodshed they instigate and spill. Their knowledge store is occupied and administered by the Devil himself. Their repeated conversions from religion to religion, continuous adherence to various groups, regimes and nations are one best explanatory of their careless, disloyal, and selfish personality. They can disguise and convince people by their super-act dramas that they manage to perform and tears they shade more than the genuine owners of the subject.

The author seems to be obsessed with the Cushitic language speakers of the horn of Africa and relates to their struggle for their “freedom” from the Semitic language speakers. The fact of the matter is that the people of the Horn of Africa are ethnically blended and have long ago created a homogenous physical and cultural feature. It is a self defamatory, and contradictory for a Greek whose country’s pride civilization was built by the Hyksos/Semitic people could ever stood in a position to promote anti-Semitisms to such dedication and severity.

“The present calamitous situation of the African continent will change to the benefit of all the Africans with an Independent Republic of Ogaden present in the UN as the Voice of the Needy, the Oppressed, and the Terrorized. That´s why ONLF should realize that in their struggle for liberation they don´t fight only for Ogaden, but also for the entire African continent.”

Dr. Shamssadin further seemingly visualizes what African countries should do from his Euro-centric, colonialist motives, forwarding his advice on those weak and common individuals that get a comfortable idea for pursuing a short-cut economic, political or social ambitions.

I write this to share my worry with my people that, this pseudo-professor is not a single man, but a created personality, whose title are supposedly to gain the lies they post some legitimacy of any kind from readers, but has only served so far as a tube for many groups and states, that are moving to shape the political landscape of Africa to their interest. People of the Horn of Africa specially should read between the lines, and throw-off the poison that is being topped by sweet words. The spear targets our weakest positions, but we should instead improve our weaknesses and seal off those holes that are used by these wolves to prey on us. I pray that our people don’t fall for this trap and become victims. The agenda promoted by “Dr. Shamsadin” prefers Ethiopia be disintegrated for the benefit of his group. Be hold that his group’s interest care nothing of the ‘oppressions’ in this region, but one thing obvious is; they are salivating for the natural resources that Ethiopia has, and which is not yet explored!

Personally, I think the Eritrean regime is being used itself by European backers to lead this destruction course of Ethiopia. I have no concrete proof for my claim but from the way that ‘mohammed shamsadin’’s messages synchrony to history, that is what I strongly feel and warn our people to be alert on such directions.
